We are looking for a Cover Supervisor to cover classes in the event of unforeseen or short-term absence of teachers.  The postholder should be competent in supervising PE sessions and general class cover. The postholder will work in class with students, supervising work set by teachers.   This is a challenging, varied and rewarding role.  Applicants should be literate and numerate with 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including English, Mathematics and Science at Grade C or above.  NVQ level 2 or 3, or BTEC in Learning Support would be an advantage.  Also required are sound interpersonal and supervisory skills to help establish supportive and positive relationships with students.  Recent experience as a successful Teaching Assistant, trainee teacher, or similar position within a secondary school environment would be beneficial.


Lytchett Minster is a successful 11-18 mixed comprehensive school with approximately 1450 students, 288 of whom are in the sixth form.   The learning environment is stunning with extensive and beautiful grounds; the school site is comprised of South Lytchett Manor House together with a number of modern extensions.  We pride ourselves on our high standards and positive ethos, the school is popular and highly regarded in the community.
